Fascia therapy – Improve breathing, get rid of pain and release old patterns

Book treatment
Holistic treatment with connective tissue massage

What is connective tissue?

The connective tissue is a fine, fluid-filled network of tissue that envelops everything in our body, bones, muscles, nerves, etc. The connective tissue plays a central role in our bodily functions and in how we feel.
Therefore, connective tissue therapy is e.g.
effective as a treatment against stress and provides grounding.
The connective tissue contains a dense network of nerves, and by working with this I cooperate with your nervous system. Connective tissue is controlled by the autonomic nervous system, which we cannot control ourselves.
Therefore, connective tissue massage also affects the autonomic nervous system and can help regulate it.

One of the advantages of working with the connective tissue instead of the muscles is that the pain can often come from the connective tissue and not from the muscles themselves.

I work holistically with fascia therapy

I take a holistic approach to the fascia therapy, which means that I look at your whole body and mind as a unit.
This approach is not just about treating symptoms, but about understanding the underlying causes of your problems.
Both what you tell me and what your body shows and feels play an important role in the treatment.
My aim is to help your body regain its natural balance by supporting the self-healing processes.

Instant release of the connective tissue

When I work on the connective tissue, I use a gentle and soft technique to contact the tissue.
By applying light pressure to the outer layer of the connective tissue, I signal to the body that it is safe to relax.
In a state of stress, the body often holds onto tension, but by holding the pressure until I can feel the area ‘melting’, meaning that the body is allowing me to go deeper, the body can release these tensions on its own.
This form of relaxation is not only immediate but also long lasting, as it creates a reprogramming of the nervous system that helps prevent the tension from returning.

The effect of relaxation on body and mind

Fascia therapy can have profound effects on both body and mind.
For people experiencing chronic stress, anxiety or feeling ‘stuck in their head,`fascia therapy can be a way back into the body.
As the body relaxes, the mind also calms, which can provide a sense of grounding and inner peace.
Many people experience a sense of heaviness in their body, but in a positive way, where they feel more present and grounded.
This can be particularly valuable in a busy everyday life where many of us are more focused on mental activities than on our physical body.

Improved muscle and connective tissue function

When a muscle is tense, it becomes weak because it cannot move freely.
By relaxing the muscle, it can once again perform its full range of motion and thus become stronger.
Similarly, the connective tissue becomes more elastic and free in its movement, providing a natural body lift.

Fascia and trauma

Connective tissue has a unique ability to remember everything that has happened to your body – both physical injuries and emotional experiences.
When we experience trauma, whether it’s a blow or an emotional shock, these experiences are stored in the connective tissue itself.
During fascia therapy, old traumas and emotional blockages can come to the surface and be released, allowing the body to relax and regain its natural freedom of movement.
This process can be both liberating and healing, helping you to process and let go of the past.

Discover the complexity of connective tissue

In this video, you get a unique insight into the complexity of connective tissue by comparing the structure of a grapefruit with microendoscopic images of living human fascia.
Under microscopic magnification, it is shown how myofascia enables flexibility and fluid transport in the body.
